Words by Spartan Staff Beginning the year as twenty individuals, we gradually formed a single working unit. Our purpose—to produce the best ’70 Spartan possible, to record the year’s happenings as they were, and to make our year- book intriguing. Taking pictures, planning layouts in a different manner than they have been done before at AHS, we hectically met deadlines, and mailed final pages. As the books are at last handed out, we will feel completely rewarded if the finished product satisfies the AHS student body. This is your Spartan. Supt. Brichacek Completes First Year on Staff Superintendent Don Briehacek has completed his first year as head of our school. He divides his time between finances, facilities, faculty, elementary superintendent, and the people of the community. Superintendent Don Brichacek daily sorts the mail and places it in the faculty boxes. Slide rules and telephones increase efficiency in the super- intendent's office.
