The purpose of the Student Council is to promote school leadership, scholarship, stu- dent-teacher relationships, and to charter and guide the activities of the student organizations and various all-school activ- ities. This year the Council has done many things which have helped to promote the school. These include financing the Senior Float, painting the parking stripes, allow- ing the Freshmen to be on the Council, forming a junior High Student Council, and promoting the use of the victory flag and the school spirit bottle. This year the Student Council has been very successful in their attempts to better Angleton High School.

The Tattler Club as- sists the staff in stapling the pages of the paper together and in the writing of the articles. In order to publish the Tattler every other Thursday, the staff meets every other Monday during noon. There is also a great deal of time spent out of school by the staff collecting the information necessary for the articles. The school is very fortunate in having such a hard working staff.
