Arts at Angelo State University presented Rashomon Nov. 6-11. The play was set in Kyoto, Japan about 1000 years ago. Ray Bacon played the bandit Tajo- maru who is accused of a murder. Three accounts are given on how the crime happened and the audience makes their own decision on which of the three reenactments is the truth. , Graduate produces 'Terra N ova, I . J r ff V x K I o W 'Ss ai. -PY Terra Nova was presented Feb. 8-12 in the Modular Theatre and was the thesis project of graduate student James Worley. Worley produced the play and was required to pay for salaries, royalties, costume rentals, and design the set all within the budget of 31500. The setting for Terra Nova is Antarctica and involves explorer Robert Falcon Scott and his men on their search for the South Pole. The play begins and ends in Scott's mind while he is dreaming right be- fore his death. Scott was played by Richard Nance. Other characters were Robyn Harlin as Kathleen Scott, Kenneth Fletcher as Ronald Amundsen, Todd Young as Birdie Bowers, Brent Jenkins as Uncle Bill Wilson, Dan- iel Nasworth as Titus Oates, and Josh Jones as Taffy, Evans. Josh Jones, Daniel Nasworth, Richard Nance, Ken Fletcher, Brent Jenkins, and Todd Young enjoy the feast that Scott dreams they would have after reaching the South Pole.
