Allen Hynek, speak on the UFO Experience. Hynek, brought here by the UCPC, is director ot the Center tor UFO Studies in Evanston, ill. A professor of astronomy at Northwestern University, he has served as astronomical consultant to the U.S. Air Force in their pro- jects Sign and Blue Book, which processed and studied UFO sightings reported to AF bases. He is a native ot Chicago and has been associated with the Uni- versity ot Chicago, the Mcivlillan Observatory, Johns Hopkins Uni- versity, Ohio State University and Harvard University.

2nd Annual The second annual Gong Show sponsored by Mayer Hall Association was held March 31, 1979 in the ASU auditorium. The crowd, in excess of three hundred, was vocal and receptive of the fif- teen acts pertorming. . Dr. Michael J. Carlo was once again the host of the nights' activities. His colorful and varied ward- robe, mixed with his sharp comments kept the audience entertained throughout the two hour show. The three judges confronted with the task of selecting winners were former KCTV newscaster Mario Ortiz, former ASU drama student Angie Dickson, and head of Food Services, Harry Disco Doss. First and second place prizes were awarded in each of the two categories. In the serious cate- gory, the audience broke a three place tie and awarded first place to Dorothy Hickman. She was also last years winner. The other two groups, Bar- teck and Alcorn, and Knox and Matkins were each awarded twenty-five dollars in cash. The winning group in the silly category was Who's on First? with Gary Kelton and Butch Baker. Second place went to the rock group Logz .
