Decorations, parties, and gifts aid- ed in making the Christmas season at ASU a joyous one. Each of the dorms had at least one tree along with the traditional Christmas dec- orations. Parties were also held in each of the dorms, with exchange of gifts among some of the students. Climaxing Christmas season on campus was the annual Mistletoe Ball. ASU students danced to the music provided by Soul Agents, a band from Lubbock. The ultra-semi- formal event was held on December 5, 1970, in ASU's Food Service Cen- ter. The University Program Coun- cil, headed by Jack Srader, provided the decorations for the fete.

Living in one of the dormitories on the campus of Angelo State Uni- versity provided many varied experi- ences forthe residents. Students en- joyed the opportunities for sociabili- ty, as they participated in card games, floor and dorm parties, films and panel discussions, and general talk sessions. They also had access to laundry facilities, pianos, televisions, and lobbies for entertain- ing friends and dates. ASU residence halls were actively involved in campus activities. Boys who lived in Mayer and Runnels pre- sented skits during Ram rallies in order to boost school spirit, while the Men's and Women's High Rises combined to jointly sponsor a casino party for all students.
