moving means work- unloading. arranging we i The beginning of a new school year carried many problems along with the excitement that students felt. Eager to get moved into the dormitories and to meet their room- mates, some for the first time, stu- dents were seen running about in all directions. There were thousands of trips to and from cars, mobs of people waiting at elevator doors, col- lisons on the stairs, and, in general, organized chaos. The few days of moving into the residence halls were also used by the male students, for this was a time when they could legally enter the confines of the women's halls. Besides getting situated in their rooms, students were involved with the hassle of registration. There were more lines, cards to be completed, classes to be arranged, checks to be written, and headaches to be pro- duced. After the days of registration, students knew that the time for study was approaching. A new dorm room means a home-away-from-home, which necessitates moving all belong- ings. Holding a box of items, Carolyn Jackson wonders where to put her load, while room- mate Brenda Wright thumbs through her books Cupperj. Unpacking a loaded car causes many headaches. Freshmen Linda Barrington and Marva Hogg gather as many boxes as they can possibly carry in a single trip in order to reduce the number of trips flowery.
