0l'll0l 6161515 P cy I have just mherxted a mllll0H dollars and Ive dec1ded to take a tr1p around the world As I step up to the desk at the arrport whom do I see but Inez Ackerman the old f1ery red head and I f1nd out she got her temper low enough to get marrred When I stepped on to the plane I recogmzed the stewardess Mary Larson we talked a b1t and I found out that 1m Perham was the prlot of the plane We left New Yorks I.aGuard1a F1eld In a few hours we landed IU Ch1cago we are flv1ng Wlfh lets now you know I checked my luggage and asked the desk clerk where there was a good hotel 1n town he told me the Dav1s Cham hotels were f1ne Dav1s I sa1d to myself I wonder 1f thats Brll my old classmate I went to one of the hotels and sure enough there I found h1m As we were talkmg over old trmes who should come up but the other red head the one w1th the Boston accent Marge Cameron who IS now Mrs Davrs' B111 asked me 1f Id l1ke to go to a baseball game to see an old buddy pttch I thought lf must be the one and only Allan Kepner I never thought he would make lf w1th some of the games we had 1n h1gh school As we were just a short drstance from the park we decrded to walk On the way we passed a gr1ll We got by and somebody called to B111 so we went back Who was II but Don Coombes all he wanted was to go to the ballgame Wllh us On our way I asked them what they could tell me about anv of the other classmates Don sa1d Mary Duffy IS operat1ng some overn1ght cabrns up 1n Canada He had been up there last summer and had seen them B111 told me that Drck Scholes had bought a partner shrp rn the Genesee Steel 8: Tank Inc and also a partnersh1p wrth Mary Ann When we got to the ball park I saw a grrl that looked very fam1l1ar sell1ng pea nuts but I wasnt sure who she was I asked Don who sa1d II was Donna I couldnt recall any Donna 1n our class so I forgot about lf I left Chrcago a few days later and went down South to Texas I took a tax1 to Dallas and I guess we were go1ng a lrttle too fast We were stopped by a state trooper who turned out to be the one and only D1ck Reynolds I asked h1m how come he wasnt 1n New York Drck sa1d that he had been transferred I spent a week IU Texas and left for the coast As we were landrng I saw some motorcycles down on the shore that looked as 1f they were racmg I decrded to go and watch them when we landed When I got there I heard the announcer say Sylor I knew he rode a motorcycle when I left school but I wasnt sure because he was about SIX feet four and we1ghed about two hundred pounds I talked wrth h1m a wh1le and sure enough lf was Duane Boy was I surpr1sed' He told me that they were golng to have fore1gn cars racmg the next day and erry Dowd was supposed to race wrth h1s streamlrned aguar I thought that IS what he would be dorng the way he used to race around Wllh that old 47 Ford After spendrng a few pleasant days ID Calrfornra I left for Europe I boarded the Beckw1ths Steamer I found out later that rt was Buddy Beckwrth and that he had frnally caught V1rg1n1a for a wrfe 10- s ' v v , . y 1 a , . . . . .
