Bruce Zimmerman physics The current school year will be remem- bered by the physics department as the one in which it expanded beyond the con- fines of the old Physical Science Building. Board action has provided limited space in the basement of the Campus Health Center. The area lpreviously the graduate divisienis library reading room! provides needed laboratory and supply space. Two sponsored research programs are be- ing carried on by the physics department. ln dollar values, their combined expendi- tures exceed that spent by the undergrad- uate division on instructional budgets for the department. Each of the four staff mem- bers is .involved in both the instructional research activities of the department.

A House of Prayer for All People Evangelist Bruce Johnston '1 Religion is the world's greatest need and the student's truest friend. it brings happiness as well as under- standing, peace as well as wisdom, life as well as God. Courses in religion are both general and specific. They aim to explain the purpose and meaning of life, to reveal its power and secrets and to prepare the student for the highest and fullest service to his fellow men and his God. Currently 108 maiors in religion are preparing primarily as instructors in Bible and preachers of the Word. Evangelistic efforts held during the school year and field schools of evangelism conducted during the summer provide students with in- valuable experience. Eight professors in the department of religion are pleased with its new office and classroom quarters in Griggs Hall.
