3 engineering Robert Noel and his engineering students. The engineering department is unique in that its members take their last year's work on some other campus. Under the direction of Professor Robert L. Noel, there are usually about thirty engineering students. A move to the basement of the Campus Health Center has provided an engineering drawing room and laboratory area, greatly improving the quality of the work of the de- partment. Recent projects have included the adaptation of equipment for ele- vated-temperature testing and the determination of the transformation temperature of steels at various cool- ing rates.
