Commencement probably should be remembered as a solemn time, a dignified time. But there is something else, too. There is gaiety, confusion, and almost a fever pitch of excitement. Preparations are made all through the week before: there is expectancy in the airg but still there is more packed into that brief week end than can possibly be anticipated. Something happens to school Friday - it just sort of dissolves. lVe went dashing home to get ready for the dance that night. The house was in an uproar from the time the first graduate arrived fwhile the work was still half donej until the last one wandered in after the Alumnae Banquet. Finally, we trotted back to our junior rooms to spend the night. s,-,Z forty-two
