i K Senior candidate for I-lallowe'en, Billie Huffstetler, reached the position as Queen by a parade. Billie rode through the town on a decorated convertible with escort, Robert For- bes. Other students fol- lowing behind, honking their horns and collect- ing votes on the street as the parade went by. L.et's play bingo, is the cry of all loyal Juniors at the Carnival--Come one--Come all--only 10C --and what beautiful prizes, Nelda's p1'Ofit, Kay Hise and Lynn Cummins, King and Queen of Grade School, sit on their royal thrones with two attendants stand- ing by while the photographer snaps a picture. Cakes of all kinds and pies of all sorts , yell the non-hungry Seniors. Besides selling for a this kind of work sounds like mother's best vase and Billy Watts got fun. Except for cleaning up. away with Mrs. Floyd's new set of glasses.

2? 4. 2' ' H. Q , ,ra,,M VM 'Pb W 1 H ...N- The big event of October occurs during the Hal- lowe'en Carnival when time out is called for the beautiful coronations of the King and Queen of Hallowe'en. With cooler weather the students of A.H. OCTOBER Funny faces, King and Queen A nite so filled with spooks Goblins at the Carnival A ghost that called me toots . The State Fair at Dallas is attended by a bunch of band kids who have the time of their lives. Besides seeing sights at the fair, the band played in the Cotton Bowl. 'Sf g lnitiation by the Spanish . Club brought lots of laughs besides being colorful with bright cos- l tumes. Initiation lasted two days, to the relief of the pledges. S. leave their cotton skirts and blouses in the back of their closet and slowly begin to don brightly colored sweaters and skirts. November bears remembrance Of things that have to pass, Homecoming, Thanksgiving, A football game, the season's last. N 1 t c NOVEMBER Wah ,vau....:.'r',..gh..... A The last football game brings the presentation and crowning of Foot- ball Sweetheart, Wilma McGary, Riding in a decorated convertible driven by Carll-lughen, Wilma is escorted and crowned by Pat Wright and Enoch Reid. Homecoming really turns off well when the Student Council get together and work things out. Football boys have black and gold rib- bons with their names on them, which they pin on their special girls. It is an invitation to the Homecoming Dance after the game and the girls wear the ribbons all week. The dance room is decorated like a football field with goal posts and streamers marking off the yardage.
