Exciting and fascinating are two adjectives which could be used to describe a new school, a new yearbook and the very beginning of new traditions. Faced with the idea of working under such unique conditions, the first yearbook staff of Andrew Warde came up against many unusual problems, first of which was to find a place to work! Like the nomads who fold their tents, they stole silently from Smedley 8 to the art room, where they are still trying to find a permanent home for The Flame. The yearbook photographers were no exception in this unusual set-up. They found themselves in the novel position of photographing men on scaffolds, painters, electricians, THE EDITORIAL STAFF Co-editors-in-chief ...........,.,.. D onald Stone and bulldozer operators, all hard at work to finish our school. Art editor, Caryl Demarest, worked diligently planning the layout and Anne compiled the copy. Charlie headed the sales end of the yearbook and also busied himself finding new patrons. Faced with the task of compiling information to meet their deadlines, editors, Ann Newton and Sue Zaur could be seen scurrying from one place to another, calling meetings, scheduling pictures, and racking their brains for appropriate titles. Warde's undergraduates also contributed to The Flame by supplying many able and willing apprentices whose time and services were necessary in publishing the yearbook. Row 1: A. Sostowski, C.
