The First A ttempts The freshmen’s first projects were building a homecoming float and decorating the third floor hall for Spirit Week. These projects were not only the ninth graders’ first endeavors at Lewis, but they also provided the members of the class with an opportunity to get to know each other. All of the hard work and effort put into the freshman float proved to be worthwhile because it placed third in competition. The class of ’80 proved it could compete with upper classmen and contribute to the spirit of Lewis.
