LOG ship Exams . . . Dec. 23-Filled with the Christmas spirit Qbecause we have a whole week off from schoolj we viewed our last Christmas assembly .... jan. 4- Alackson's most famous seniors were announced as the counting of the Senior Poll ballots was finally com- pleted. lVe found 3 votes for Elvis . . . jan. I2- Many of our college-bound Seniors struggled through the College Boards. Qlf only we hadn't taken turns each week learning our vocabulary words in Mr. Blatt's classy .... jan. 22h-WVe became the proud owners of our Senior jewelry .... jan. 24-Regents week just ended, but for many of us our tests weren't over. Today we took the Regents Scholarship. It was quite a test! YVe even used mechanical electronic pencils .... jan. 28-Our january Grads bid A. good-by .... Feb. I- Hickory Log is out of the red for first time in many years .... Feb. I5-Our basketball team defeated jamaica for the first time in three and a half years. An occasion such as this calls for no home- work-QNO such luckllj .... Feb. 19-YVhile we were still celebrating the jamaica game, our team defeated Far Rockaway to take the South Queens Championship!! . . . Feb. 28-lVe defeated Flushing in a play-off game .... Mar. I-We've a great track team too. jackson victorious in indoor track championship. Snails is the magic word for Alan Landman. His study of these creatures made him a finalist in the Mlestinghouse Scholarship and won him a trip to YVashington . . . Mar. 7-We felt quite important today. YVe had 22 buses and an entire subway train hired to bring 1,500 of us to Madison Square Garden to watch our basketball team play Com- merce. Our luck gave way, and we were defeated. They are still a great team .... Mar. 8-The face- lifting of A. is completed in time for the 20th birthday celebration .... Mar. 9-We had a very successful night Variety Show-the place was packed. . . . March I3--Green and White, Progressive nomi- nate candidates for G. O. elections. Who will take over After We're Gone? .... March I9-Happy Birthday A. J .... March 22-Seniors get better acquainted at the Senior Mixed Dance sponsored by the Senior Council .... April II, 12, I5-What again? MIDTERMSII . . . May 31-The night we were waiting for-Jackson guys and dolls whirled at the Senior Prom held at the Hotel Biltmore .... june I-jackson Seniors sing, Moan, Yawn, Grunt, and Groan to the tune of Oh How I Hate to Get Up in the Morning! QWho went to bedPj. . . . june I4-We struggled over our History and English Regents. Oh! Well! . . . june 28- Graduation Day . . . The voyage is over!!
