Their ulfimafe success or failure depended upon us, and we gradually found fhaf fhe difficulfies weren'f so hard fo overcome as we had fhoughf. We discovered fhe value of cooperafion as we worked side by side wifh ofhers in fhe Chemisfry laborafory and fhe Hisfory classroom. The beH'er 'Phe collaborafion, fhe more we learned. School spirif and sporfsmanship became parf of our lives as we proudly wafched our afhlefic feams fake championship affer cham- pionship. We sei' our goal for graduafion as enfering freshmen, and now can look back wifh a cerfain amounf of pride, upon a career of achievement Af fimes we felf discouraged and dishearfened, for fhe road fo success is an arduous one. A number of our original class fell by fhe wayside, and we somefimes longed fo ioin fhem. Buf our firm desire and deferminafion fo win diplomas spurred us on. We, fhe graduafes of foday, shall be +he cifizens of fomorrow. When fhis greaf war is over, we shall be forced fo share fhe cares, froubles, and responsibilifies of fhe reconsfrucfion period. If will nof be an easy 'l'ask, and we shall have fo make good. Lef our high school experiences fhen, serve us in our lafer life. As we enfer new fields and professions, lef us firsf sef our minds fo a purpose, and fhen sfrive fo accomplish if. ln shorf, lef us always remember fhaf ambi'I'ion is fhe keynofe fo success. .
