ONLY THE BEST WILL D0 Creating an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stem a service rendering desire, to promote worthy leadership, and to en- courage development ot charac- ter, are the main purposes of Fleur de lis, our chapter ot the National Honor Society. Once a student is nominated by a faculty member, a group of our faculty then makes a thorough check ot the student's grades, character, and leader- ship. Only ten per cent ot the senior class and tive per cent of the junior class are permitted to become members. Among other requirements the student must have a B average and have been going to Hill for at least one semester prior to the nom- ination. Last year, though we had more students on campus, there were only ten Fleu de lis mem- bers as compared to twenty six this year. It consists of col- lege preparatory students who are able to maintain a B+ grade average in all their academic subiects. Be- ing an active C.S.F. member is a great asset to have on your records upon entering college. When a student has earned four semesters of membership in his sopho- more, iunior, and s e n i o r years lone must be in his senior yearl, he becomes a Life Member. This is an hon- or towards which all mem- bers work.
