unror Hmstory When school opened on September 13 1926 we wcre d1sappo1nted to fmd that only exght of our former class returned Several had dropped out and others had been transferred We organlzed our class and were fortunate enough to have Mrs Shambaugh as our class advlser The followlng oflicers were elected Vxce Presldent Elsle Okerman Secretary Ina Peterson A few weeks after school started Alberta Swanson from Greenwood I-hgh School and Helen Gleason from Santa Rosa Jolned our class but dxd not re mam long Alberta returned to Greenwood and was marr1ed and Helen Gleason became Mrs Alfred Rowan Another member Elsle Okerman trans ferred to Fort Bragg Our class has taken part 1n practlcally all of the school act1v1t1es The class was well represented on the grrls basketball team wxth Ina Peterson as captam VIVIBH Hutsell as glrls athletlc manager Emma Soderlund and Thelma Earrer mantamlng regular pos1t1ons These glrls also took actxve parts ln thc high school plays Darrel Harrlson played on the boys Glass B basketball team and Marlon Glow was captaln of the unllmxted team Harry Rellly IS edltor of the A V Fortmte Emma Soderlund exchange edltor and Thelma Farrer llterary edrtor Emma Soderlund IS the Student Body treasurer and Thelma Earrer the Student Body secretary We are grateful to Mrs Shambaugh for her guldance as class advlser dur mg our Jumor year and we are lookmg forward to as successful sen1or year Marlon Glow 28 Jr -if!-WE HQ? wifi-ffl' -M 6 2 ,f f' 1 I ' TY ' 3 A Av 'L JL rf ,,. IKM- Sophomore ll-llnstory the begmnmg of the school year the class of 1929 chose as our class teacher Mr A J Row an and elected the followlng officers V1ce Presldent Ronald Bennett Secretary Treasurer Erma Wallach The class of 29 has the honor of bemg the only class ID school whrch st1ll retams IIS orlgmal enrollment When we were freshmen there were fourteen of us eleven boys and three glrls Durlng our first year we lost two members A1ner Okerman and Chr1stme Newman When we entered as sophomores we agam had fourteen members Bessle Ereathy and Erma Wallach havmg transferred from other schools We hope at least to retam our fourteen mem bers through the rest of our hlgh school l1fe We were well represented IH hxgh school athletxcs wlth Robert Wltherell and Loren Bloyd on the Class A basketball team Carl Soderlund Ronald Bennett Lauren Saunders and George Ward on the Class B team and Bessle Freathy on the glrls team In dramatlcs we shall have our first chance m the under class play B an Optlmlst Erma Wallach Amy Studebaker Robert Wltherell Pomeroy Fleld and Amer Nlcholson are the ones who are holding up the standard of our class ln thls play W1th the help of the Con Creek Grammar School we arranged a short Chrxstmas program 'I hrs was presented before the Student Body and parents of the grammar school chxldren We bellexe rt vsas a success Erma Wallach 29 qc .s ,4 'be ' 3.1 , V, 4 ,Q ee V4 '- 4' 'V , 1 4 ' I I Ar ' ' Y 1 Z President S , Lauren Saunders l P I 3 V 7 .
