A stiffening of standards For survival in today's World against the complex threat of Communism, teenagers must understand the threat and problems -in short, understand the enemy. For this reason academic study is taking on added significance. Amid the cries that Soviet education is superior to ours and more em- phasis should be placed on math and science, Anderson High educators have stepped up standards. They realize, hovvever, that the secret of learning is not forcing a student to study, it is inspiring him to do so. Stu- dents are motivated to Work harder and learn more about What they are defending.
