IT also sponsored a carnival, held aT school, called The SpiriT oT 76 , celebraTing The 76Th anniversary oT The high school. Every club in school had a parT in making This un- derTalcing a success. Tor each organizaTion had a booTh. The STudenT Council conducTed a TalenT show ancl, laTer on. a dance in The audiTorium. The high-lighT oT The evening was The crowning oT The king and queen oT The carnival. This is The second year such an evenT has been conducTed. AnoTher venTure oT The organizaTion was The charTering OT buses Tor ouT-oT-Town bas- lceTball games. This was one oT The mosT pop- ular oT all The proiecTs oT The group. Under The auspices oT The STudenT Coun- cil, The moniTor sysTem and The honor sTudy halls were seT up and conducTed eTTecTively. For seven years The STudenT Council has operaTed The honor sTudy halls. Under This plan. one sTudenT is responsible Tor Talcing aTTendance and correcTing any disci- pline problems which mighT arise. The sTu- denTs in These sTudy halls Thus have The op- porTuniTy To sTudy wiThouT supervision. As in previous years, The plan has been exTremely successTul.
