Sister and Brother Give Out All toes were tapping when Jaclc Daven- port, Bobby Williams, Johnny Barber and Jack Green gave out with a bit ot that sweet iive. So ended the tirst student talent program. The iuniors voted purple and white as class colors' and ordered sweaters accord- ingly. Principal Stanley Porter was elected president ot the North Central Conter- ence Athletic Association at the annual tall meeting in Indianapolis. A beautitul and impressive Armistice Day Program was held last November Students Pcrlorm Crazy Antics Illh. Miss Mary Ruth Palmer, music in- structor, sang Trees and Janice lv1cArt sang My Buddy. Kenny Bramming read Kipling's Recessional, Gene Fisher read In Flander's Field, and Louise Flanders gave the answer. Neal Petry and Richard l-lamilton played an accordian and marim- ba duet. G. I. Photos On Display On the south landing ot the main build- ing, stood a servicemen's display consist- ing ot names and pictures ot Anderson l-ligh School students and graduates who are now in the armed service. There were seventeen gold star names listed there and hundreds ot others. Betore King Basketball assumed the throne, tour new yell leaders were elect- ed---all boys, too. Jaclc Toombs- Bill Soud- ers, Bill Fdgeman and Bob Graham made up the quartet. Along with the Indian, Elmer lvlalaguerra, they did a marvelous iob cheering us to the State.
