HIS SECTION is dedicat- ed to that group which constitutes the largest division of our academic organization-the student body or citizen-1-yt' of A.H.S. The contents of the following pages will reveal to you that this co-called citizenry , being of four political complexions, naturally display four different views upon all issues, namely radical . liberal , p'rogressive,', and conservative , However, these groups are identified by the more familiar titles ot' lfreshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. ln discussions of the business situation a condition, resulting from our economic system, to which there is frequent reference is 'tthe business cycle , composed of five evolutionary stages. The principle of this cycle is applicable to the high school, where a correspond- ing condition exists, which we may term the high school cycle . l'nlike the business cycleu this cycle is composed of only fouy stages, namely: Radical- ismn, l.iberalism,,, llrogressivism , and Conserva- tismn. .lust as in the past it has seemed inevitable that business pass through these various stages, so does su high school class experience a similar evolution during its sojourn here. All of the individuals, whose likenesses adorn the succeeding pages, will soon assume their obligations as citizens of a much larger order ot' society than that of the high school.
