' A THE ANDERSONIAN ' A SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Motto: Tonight we launch--where shall we anchor? Class Colors: Blue and Cold Class Flower: Yellow Rose Four years have passed since we. numbering about sixty, entered high school under the able direction of Mrs. Struke. Our first year in Anderson was also under the sponsorship of Mrs. Struke, when we were eighth grad- ers in a brand new school. Our freshman year passed altogether too rapidly with many trials and tribulations ironed out for us by our worthy sponsor, and we eagerly looked forth to returning the next fall as sophomores. In our sophomore year we met with a new sponsor, Miss Straus, who guided us very efficiently through that eventful year which we ended very enthusiastically with a weinie roast . Surprise! Yes, there certainly was a surprise waiting for us when we re- turned to dear old Anderson as Juniors to find our endeared sponsor of pre- vious years again waiting for us. Yes. sir! Again we had the pleasure of being with Mrs. Struke. This was a fairly big year for us with VVhat About Betty ? our Junior Class play, directed by our sponsor. Then. also, we ban- queted our worthy upper classmen. the Seniors of '33 at one of the biggest social events of the year, the Junior-Senior Banquet. We transformed the gym into a scene in Holland with the characteristic windmill, wooden shoes. and Dutch boys and girls. The years simply flew and the fall of l933 found us entering Anderson as dignified CU Seniors. Here we were shepherded by Mrs. Rath, now a dear and beloved friend of all of us. The flock has dwindled down to thirty-- seyen. lint we shall, nevertheless, be proud to be called Anderson's largest graduating class. Our Senior year was filled with many delights. expectations, and of course. work. VVe wish now to extend our heartfelt thanks to our Superintendent and the entire faculty for all the wonderful advice Slllfl examples they have given us. XVe shall never forget them! 2 E? ,4 1934 .
