This fact, if fully appreciated, clarifies several other as ects of the interrelation between the school and community. The education of children is a cooperative enterprise P in which the school plays a selective role, but that role must be played in cooperation with other agencies, especially the homeg otherwise the educative influence of the several agencies will be at variance and may counteract each other.
