It is a privilege for me to have the opportunity of writing a message to the faculty and student body of the new Anderson High School to be placed in the yearbook, THE YELLOW JACKET. The Senior Class of 1954 has had the signal honor of being the first group to graduate from the new Anderson High School, You have had the privi- lege and the responsibility of helping set the patterns, the customs and tra- ditions of this fine new school. I am sure you have wrought well in doing this very thing and know that you will remember this great experience with pride and pleasure for the remainder of your lives. As you look back after years have passed, you can always say that you had a part in building the spirit and laying the foundations of this institution. The same is true for the teachers who are members of the first faculty to serve in this school. I trust that this year has been a pleasant and profitable one for all of you, and it is my wish and that of your teachers, your parents and your friends that you may continue with your good work and be led by your ambitions to greater and continuous achievements.
