Winning The DeTerminaTion Award in cross counTry were ju- nior Stacey Belt and sophomore Ryan Finnell. Junior Bernice Pey- ton was named Most Valuable Player afTer finishing fifTh in The sTaTe in his first year of compeTi- Tion. Senior Missy Dannheiser also received The MVP award. The Top honor in fooTball was awarded To senior David Ishmael. He was named MosT Valuable Player afTer accounTing for 4003 yards Total offense and hiTTing on 5996 of his passes. David also re- ceived The Cunningham-Hawkins leadership award. AT The baskeTball banquet held March 24, David was once again recognized by receiving boTh The Most Valuable Player and Lead- ership awards.
