When TermiTes are in Their swarming sTages, They Try To geT ouTside. BuT when They Tried To geT ouT Through The Home Ec. room, Mrs. Shryock did The besT she could To Take care of The siTua- Tion. I sprayed Them wiTh Raid as soon as we saw Them on The carpeT, she said, The exTermina- Tors are supposed To come Take care of Them, buT They won'T hurT you, unless of course you're made ouT of woodl CRAMMING One of The mosT popular forms of sTudying is pracTiced righT here aT ACHS. lT's called TesT Cram- mlng and we all do iT aT leasT once. Some of us do iT more Than once while for oThers of us, iT's every TesT. The panic usually hlTs when we're in The shower or on The way To school. No maTTer whaT kind of TesT iT is, you can almosT always be sure ThaT you won'T be The only one in homeroom aTTempT- ing To cram. More Than likely There will be plenTy of fellow sTu- denTs crammlng wiTh you. '18 - Tid-BTTS TOURNEY TIME AlThough The BearcaTs didn'T make iT To Rupp Arena for The STaTe Tournameni, many BearcaT fans did. QulTe a few sTudenTs Took ad- vanTage of The four-day week- end and Traveled To LexingTon for The TournamenT. Several sTayed aT The HyaTT while oThers sTayed aT places like Howard Johnson's, Ramada Inn or Days lnn. I had The besT Time you could imagine. Our hoTel room was more fun Than The games, said senior Wendy Bruce.

During The pep rally on Friday The sTudenT body remained sTanding To show Their en- Thusiasm, spiriT, and PRIDE in Their BearcaT Team. The junior class sponsored The dance afTer The game on Friday nighT. Senior Darin Young and his daTe, freshman homecom- ing queen candidaTe Julie Orme, enjoy dancing To The music of WVBA. Senior David Ishmael shows BulliTT EasT jusT one of The awesome plays ThaT propelled The BearcaTs To an overwhelming vicTory of 35-0. Homecoming - '17

'iThis year was really a learning experience, said junior Bud Taylor. We've had a loT of leadership. We've also goT a loT of experience and a loT of new TalenT. Sophomore Laurie GoodIeTT ad- ded, l'm saTisfied wiTh our perfor- mance This year. IT doesn'T seem To show in our scores, buT I Think we did okay. Led by Bud, Laurie, and freshman Mark Richard, The Team finished The year wiTh a record of 40 wins and 13 losses. They also placed 'ilTh in The region. Laurie qualified for The sTaTe by winning The region in May for The second year in a row. l was really glad ThaT I made iT, she said. I was really more con- cerned abouT The Team Than aoouT myself. All-sTaTer Laurie Goodleii prepares To drive The ball on The l4Th green during compeTiTion aT Bob-O-Link. Using a Three wood, junior Blaine Peach drives The ball during a home maTch.
