Senior Glficers Plan For Grand Finale Senior class officers hold very imporTanT posiTions because They are responsible for making our exiT from high school a glamorous one. Picking ouT inviTaTions, deciding on decoraTions, and having The class voTe on a Theme for graduaTion are buT a few of The acTiviTies ThaT kepT Them busy This year. The class voTed on who our officers would be in early SepTember. Mark Litkenhus became our presidenT for his Third Term, Barry Young was elecTed vice-presidenT. Jan McAnIy goT The voTe for secreTary. and Keith Lilly became Treasurer. On graduaTion nighT Their roles became public To Their classmaTes, Teachers, parenfs, and friends. The rose each of The 75 girls carried was arranged by Jan, Barry delivered an uplifTing welcoming speech and Mark bade a Touching farewell To his classmaTes. As They Tried To make our senior year beTTer Than any oTher, Jan expressed her ThoughTs by saying, We gave our besT efforTs To make This year sTand ouT in all of our minds, and I Think we pulled iT off! Getting Set For The Big Night Preparing for graduation started long before This year, yet in August when we became seniors, the finer details of graduating came into focus. In November, we ordered our invitations and our memories books. ln March, Mrs. Smlth measured us for our caps and gowns and we spent the last semester filling out applications for any and all scholarships. While some still had exams to take, The last week of school our anxieties rode high. Baccalaureate started off The week's events. Graduation practice followed The 86 picture, and finally, we decorat- ed The gym for our big night. Our energies had been totally spent on This night and our mission was ac- complished. Annoyed with all of The red tape a senior must go Through just To graduate, John Stucker gets measured by Mrs. Smith for his cap. Atop The gazebo, senior Steve Rose awaits The arrival of The 'iclass of 86 banner to Tape to The backboard. CAT topy More Than happy to be Taking The final steps of Their high school career, partners Ty Staples and Darin Young make their way To their seats during graduation practice. Graduation - 473
