Cke SOPHOMORE C It was a familiar and well-Ioved sigKt tKat we, tKe sopKomores, saw on our return to school. 1 he halls, the dormitories, the classrooms, the parlors -they held so much more meaning for us than for the freshmen. It was. here that we had spent so many happy hours the year before. Soon we were surrounded by college life that was familiar and yet— Oh! so new! Helping new students . . . looking up our old classmates . . . making plans for the President s reception ... all these things took up our first two weeks back. They quieted down and were disturbed only by excited plans for the Clemson socials, dates and concerts. Time marched with the speed of Mercury and almost before we had even settled ourselves it was time to pack and go home for Christmas. First semester with its exams were over and second semester was here with all of its pre-commencement excitement. The play Stage Door was soon only another wonderful memory of Anderson College. May Day was soon hete and we wondered what had happened to the year- — why it seemed as if we hadn t been an entire nine months. Com- mencement day with all its glory is now here — but -in a way we didn t want it to come, for now we must leave our second home . In the years to come we will try to show by word and deed just riow much we did love Anderson College. 1 ' ' lODD SWAIN 21
