'Dedication In appreciation for a job well done, the 1960-61 publica- tions class would like to dedicate the year book to Mrs. Beatrice Taplin, a teacher at Anatone High School for many years. Mrs. Taplin started her teaching career at Anatone in the year 1937. Mrs. Taplin not only teaches at the school, but is always willing to help wherever she is needed. She is always avail- able and willing to help students and teachers of the school. Mrs. Taplin is active in the school, the community, and in the local church. It is one thing which no misfortune can de- crease, no crime destroy, no enemy take away, no dictator can enslave; at home it is a friend; to others an introduction. It reduces vice by guiding virtue; costs much financial sacrifice and mental pain, but in life values it will repay every cost one hundred-fold. £cUfo% d Tfteddaye As we look back into this year's annual, may the events it depicts bring pleasant memories of times both fun and serious. When we think back through our high school days we will have no cause to feel that these were years spent merely marking time or were wasted. Everything we did during these years will influence our lives in the future. May we always work to improve ourselves in ways that will help those about us as well as our country. It is up to us to help prepare the way for those who will follow in our foot- steps. We can't do this resting; we must continue to work. 3
