Brickley, L. A. Downing First Row Nerne Purcell, P. S. Robertson, Irvin Hovet. The Student Council, after being established in the spring of 1949, became an active organization this year. Under the leader- ship of Don Yahnke, the Council carried on several projects. It conducted a highly successful dance in the fall of the year, net- ted ninety-one dollars selling ads for the program used at the Sec- tional Basketball tournaments and took charge of the Benefit Basketball Game between the faculty and the business men with tl : proceeds going to the Community Room. The Council also undertook odd tasks such as introducing assembly speakers. The Council became well established this year and will con- tinue to play an active part in the school life of A. H. S.
