Honorary Captain SURT BKAY CSI'-J Tackle nick PIIIRCELL ' Ur., Quarterback Curt came out as a green boy 5 but developed into a very rough defensive lineman who slammed lmany ball carriers to the earth. He -is on his first letter. MILT MEEKS CSr.J End Milt was an exceptionally fine defensive end, earning his second letter. Dick called the signals for the Raiders. He was a very slippery ball carrier. Boog earned his third letter, and was selected as utility back on the WaMac All Conference team. WILMER SCHOON CJr.J Center Wilmer won his first letter at the center position. He was an accurate center and a good block- BOB FEDDERSEN ULD Center Bob moved from Marion. played rough ball at the center position and won his first let er Cf. RONNIE GOLDSMITH iSoph.J Guard Ronnie displayed his aggressive line ability in many games. He has one letter. letter MARION NORTON fSophJ End Marlon was a flne defensive lineman. He shifted to backfield ln the latter part of the season, winning his first letter. JIM CORWIN CSr.J Tackle jim displayed tough defensive Honorary Captain letter. and offensive line ability until he broke his ankle in the Ma- quoketa game. He won his first BILL LEMROND CSoph.J Center BUD NORTON Ox-.J End Bud displayed his ability on punts, field goals, and extra points. He has one letter to his credit. Bill proved to be a good blocker his first letter. and defensive man. He won HENRY PILLARD CSr.J Guard Hank was selected for the Wa- Mac All Conference team. He won his first letter. CURT McKINSTRY CJr.J Fullback Curt was a power runner for the Raiders. He displayed his ability on line plunges and long passes and punts. Curt is a three year letterman. LaVERE WHITE Ur., End LaVere was a fast end. He darted through many times to drop the ball carrier for a loss. He iwon DON YAHNKE CSr.J Halfback Doak earned his second letter at the halfback position. He was a light boy but a very tough ball carrier. his first letter. DON PLOND CSoph.J Tackle Don won his first letter at the tackle .position. He was a vicious tackler and a rough blocker. He should be good next year. BOB PLATI-I CFrosh.J Guard was the only Freshman letterman. He was small, but' should develop into a very scrappy lineman. PAUL WHEAR CSr.J Halfback Pud earned his second letter at the halfback position. He was a good blocker and very capable pass receiver.
