Principal Lowell Yeager favors education beneficial to the in- dividual student, saying, The individual should be taught as an individual. If he has strength, let him have the opportunity to build up his strength as well as his interests. Let his weakness be strengthened. Emphasis is on the learner. Curriculum should be made more meaningful to the student. This job demands good teachers, and Analy does have an excellent staff, trying to make education more meaningful to the attending students. The free assembly period Wednesday mornings was initiated as a benefit to the students. If they show themselves capable of using this free time wisely, future changes beneficial to the students will occur at Analy. 67 Mrs. Anne Moceri Counselors 68 Mist Jeanne Billings Deans Mr. Adolph Bertoli Mr. Russell Beach, Student Coordinator Mrs. Edith Jones, English in Mrs. Doris Hastings, Compo- sition, English H Mr. Timothy Plank, English in, Humanities Mr. Melvin Ehlers, Reading Mrs. Viola Fortman, English I Mr. John Spillane, English I II 71 Mr. Grant King. Team Captain, Wes Tsurumoto S'i -, V wsi 1 Our 1968 football team began the season with a hard fought 7 to 6 win over Cardinal Newman. Ukiah, Point Arena, and Sonoma all fell beneath the Flying Tigers. In beating Healdsburg we won our first league game. In our next game Sonoma seemed too much for the un-beaten Tigers. After losing to Sonoma 7 to 13 the Tigers fought back by beating Piner 18 to 6 and destroying Rohnert Park 40 to 0. All that lay ahead was the inter-district rival El Molino, yet un-beaten in league play. Nothing seemed to go right that night for the Tigers as they lost 0 to 21.
