Mitt lorrain , Mr. Irish, D««n of Oirlt 0 an of hoy» Deans Develop Student Standards and Policies Miss Laura Lorraine, beyond her other duties as dean of girls, worked on a committee to clarify school policy this year. She also served on committees con- cerned with the non-diligence policy, with student activities, and with studies of religious objections in physical education classes. The dean of boys, Mr. Clarence Irish, worked with the dean of girls this year on the revision of the code setting acceptable standards for student dress. As chairman of the committee that revised the non-diligence policy, Mr. Irish worked closely with the vice-principal, other administrators, the counseling staff and the faculty. Activities of the counseling department, the dean's offices and the attendance department are correlated by the Analy vice-principal, Mr. John Crump. Under Mr. Crump's guidance the non-diligence policy was revamped this year. The new policy states that students may be expelled for non-diligence, as determined by Mr. Crump, the guidance department and the deans. Mr. Kay, Head and Sunior Counselor Mr. Snydor, Junior Counselor Mr. Adams, Frothman Counselor Mrs Pedroia, Sophomore Counsolor Guidance Department Assists Students to Self-Knowledge In its second year of operation, the Analy guidance department focused special attention on incoming freshmen. Analy's guidance director, Mr. Edward Kay, stresses that the primary function of the counsel- ing department is to help students acquire self knowledge. To help achieve this end, incoming freshmen are now given a complete battery of achievement and aptitude tests. By knowing their academic strengths and weaknesses, students are better able to plan their high school careers and their personal and occupational lives, says Mr. Kay. 9

Mr. Crump Mr. Smith Mr. McKinlay Mr. Larson Administrators direct operation of Analy Systematizing and indexing school board policy statements was one of the duties undertaken this year by the administrative intern, Mr. Kenneth Larson. Under Mr. Larson's supervision a quarterly news supplement from the office of the superintendent and principal was introduced as part of the Analyan, the official school newspaper. Analy business manager, Mr. Francis G. McKinley, has worked this year on a tentative bonding plan for financing the high school that the board of trustees has proposed for the Analy district. Mr. McKinley has also assumed responsibility this year for drafting budget estimates for the school district should the elementary schools in the Analy District unify. Co-ordinating the activities of the department heads this year was Mr. George Smith, administrative assistant. CUSTODIANS The custodians, under the direction of head cus- todian, Jay Lewis, work many hours to keep Analy buildings and properties neat and clean. The thirty cent meals include a hot dish, salad and or vegetable, dessert, bread or rolls and milk. Throughout the year the cafeteria staff also prepares meals for various school affairs, such as the World Affairs Club annual International Night Banquet. Mn.
