Students Honor Respected Deon To Richord F. Ryon, who hos devoted the mojor port of his odult life to the educotion ond develop- ment of the youth of the community, we dedicote the 1959 Colonist with sincere grotitude. He is respected for his stroightforword ottitude in deol- ing with the students. Holding vorious positions, Mr. Ryon hos served the students of Anoheim High for twenty-eight yeors. Storting in the physicol educotion deport- ment, he next tought wood shop ond loter become heod of the industriol orts progrom. For the post few yeors he hos copobly hondled his position os boys' vice-principol. After groduoting from Glendole High School, he wos gronted o four-yeor footboll scholorship to the University of Southern Colifornio. He grod- uoted from U.S.C. with o Bochelor of Science degree in educotion. Loter, during his first few yeors ot Anoheim High, he returned to U.S.C. to eorn his Monster of Science degree in educotion. For his stern but foir treotment of the students cmd his mony yeors of excellent service in severol copocities, we will long remember Richord F. Ryon.
