A'4'4'4'Z'f.'Z4v.-44' ' '45 244' v 'IQL ' QDLII' Grnmth C14 History of Our Schooll By Our Vice-Principal --.011 As an outgrowth of the public school system, our high school was organized in 1898, under the management of the Board of Education of the grammar school. The new high school held its sessions in two rooms in the upper story of the old Central School building and was presided over by C. F. Evans. He and one other teacher cared for the needs of the new school. By 1901 the school had outgrown its accommodations, and under Fred G. Athearn, himself a product of Anaheim, purchased the site where now stands the Fremont Intermediate School and put up the central part of that building. This building provided for seven teachers and class rooms and was believed adequate for the needs of the school for years to come. Mr. Athearn was followed by C. E. Taylor, H. F. Pinnell. and Miss Inez Paton, of whose administrations we are able to End no record. ' a e ' c' 1 o t When, in 1905, J. F.
