To depict the activities of the entire school year, we chose a summer delivery date—we hope the students of A.H.S. find this satisfactory. DEDICATION THERE ARE FEW THINGS OUTSIDE THE REALM OF HOME AND FAMILY THAT MOST PEOPLE VALUE AS MUCH AS THEY DO THEIR HOME TOWN. THESE MUCH LOVED PLACES RANGE IN SIZE FROM METROPOLITAN CITIES TO RUSTIC HAMLETS, BUT TO ALL NATIVE SONS AND DAUGHTERS, EACH HAS ONE THING IN COMMON; IT IS A HOME TOWN. INDEED, THE SUBJECT OF HOME TOWNS IS NOT NEW. SONGS ARE SUNG OF THEM; PICTURES ARE PAINTED OF THEM; POEMS AND BOOKS ARE WRITTEN OF THEM. BUT FROM US, TO OUR HOME TOWN, WHERE WE HAVE LIVED AND HAVE GAINED EDUCATION WITH WHICH TO FACE OUR FUTURE LIVES, WE DEDICATE THIS ANNUAL, THE 1961 BIG STACK.
