SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE TO THE GRADUATING CLASS: The tremendous concept of Western society is the idea of wide freedom of individual choice. If you are to think your own thoughts, to speak your own minds, and eventually to determine public policy through decisions arrived at individually, then you must be such individuals that the sum of your free choices will in some way add up to wisdom and promotion of the general welfare. It is the great goal and endeavor of education to guarantee such a concert of free minds. As you now complete your secondary education and step forth to take your place in adult society, it is the hope of those who have been concerned with your edu- cation that you now understand and appreciate the privilege of living in a free society and that you glad- ly accept the responsibility of so living and acting that you will make your contribution to the advance- ment of a society in which life can be so deeply satis- fying. Itis in the hope and confidence that your edu- cation has revealed to you the blessings of such an existence that we now bid you farewell and God speed. PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGES The graduates of 1955 are going forth from Ana- conda High School to join the ranks of those who by their ideals, their principles, their activities, are shaping the civilization and destiny of our country. Itis the hope of Anaconda High that her graduates are in some way better fitted to add something con- structive to the future success of our community and country. We hope that your years at Anaconda High have been happy and prosperous and that your future will be even more so. 7
