4 1 ft r.z . Mil J 1 E. J. Norgaard To The Class Of 1953: As graduates of that renowned institution, the American high school, you now possess the training and the moral and intellectual re- sources to take advantage of the opportunities offered in our society and also to accept the re- sponsibilities. And it is becoming more and more clear that the great responsibility of the future is preservation of freedom in America. From your ranks must come the leaders in the struggle to preserve the dignity of the individ- ual, to remove the fear of want and oppression, to continue progress toward the goal of eventual peace and the good life for all people. May God bless your lives to the end that your en- deavors may insure your own happiness by ad- vancing the happiness of people everywhere. 4 Herb Swanson Ruth McHugh 0??te44 z pe Dear Graduates: At times of departure, words of well-wishing come to the lips all too glibly. Such pat expres- sions as, Goodbye, nGod be with You, Good Luck, Happy Landing, I Hope You Make a Million, I'll Be Seeing You, and others apply with a special emphasis at times such as grad- uation from high school. Their application is especially well made by your faculty and principal. We have a stake in you, a devotion of time and effort, and it will make us proud to see you succeed. We believe we shall have had a small part in the making of your success; therefore we say with double em- phasis, May you grow in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man. Sincerely yours, M. F. No longer shall we need pink slips For there are no more days to skip. We know we shall remember the days We went to high school games and plays. As we walk through that great wide door, We shall have nothing to come back for. We've had our parties and our dances, And for knowledge, plenty of chances. No matter what we choose to do, Alma Mater, we'll remember you. We, the class of '53, shall be -- Always loyal and true to thee. To the parents of the graduating class, to Mr. W. E. Mitchell, to the Board of Trustees, to our teachers, and to all civic minded people who have made Anaconda a better place in which to live, we dedicate this annual. 24 Class of 1953 JOANNE ELINOR AINSLIE Jo- Social Science Course It’s time for a change.” ROBERT JACK ANDERSON Bob” Mechanical Arts Course His appetite is more to bread than stone.
