A very few years ago none of us dreamed that man would circle the earth in 90 minutes, prevent polio, make a closeup pictorial record of the moon and Mars, send television pictures through the air or alter the educational processes. We know it is necessary that we change education to keep abreast of the times and meet the demands of our modern society. Junior King and Queen Diedra Franklin and Danny Gordon represented Anacoco School at the West Louisiana Forestry Fes- tival. Danny was chosen first runner-up. Rodeo Queen Delaine Laughlin was selected as Vernon Parish Rodeo Queen for 1967-68. The contestants were judged competitively on qualities of personality, appearance, sportsmanship and general riding ability. The club placed second on Achievement Day, 1967. The club officers for 1967-68 are: Raymond Martin - President, Pam Parker - Vice President, Faerie Belsha - Secretary, and Joe Smith - Reporter. The Senior 4-H Club placed second on Achievement Day. Charles Ray Guy was awarded a trip to the National 4-H Congress.
