Steaming straight through the doldrums was WILLIAM Willy RIDDELL in the Honor Society, R.O.T.C., Hall Guards, and Intramural Sports. DONALD RIECK gave a twenty-one gun salute to the French Club, and lent a hand in all the Intramural Sports. MARIORIE RIFE sailed through the Tri-Hi-Y, Honor Society, S.G.C., Stu- dent Council, Bowling League, Spanish Club, Girls' Chorus, and College Day Committee. EDWARD ROBERTS was a strong link as the President of the German Club and member of Intramural Teams. Although mon- soons arose, IUDITH RODMAN held her course through the French Club and the G.A.A. ESTELLE ROGERS traveled as Editor-in-Chief of the Log, Beta Tri-Hi-Y Treasurer, Iota S.G.C. President, Member of Honor Society and Gift Com- mittee. LEE ROGERS made repairs as Manager of Cheerleaders and Secretary of Horseback Riding Club, Log Representative, member of All- Star Volleyball Team. IOHN ROGUS did his duty on the Stage Crew, Viking Staff, Log Staff, Camera Club, Latin Club. A first-class seaman was GEORGE Snug ROHRBACHER in the Spanish Club, Basketball Team, Boys' Chorus, and Intramural Sports. Bravely breasting the waves was CHRISTINE ROOMBOS in the Greek Club, the G.A.A., and the Senior Girls' Club. The Drum and Bugle Corps, the Non- Commissioned Officers' Club, the Boys' Chorus, and the German Club were called at by PETER ROSAUER. BETTY IANE ROSE unturled the sails in the Pin and Ring Committee, Iota S.G.C., Bowling League, Program Committee Secretary, Mixed Chorus, and G.A.A. RUTH ROSS caught a lite preserver in the form of the Student Council, the Spanish Club, Sigma S.G.C., and the G.A.A. ROBERT ROTH manned his oar with great skill in the R.O.T.C., Swimming Team, Spanish Club, and Non-commissioned Officers' Club. MWIW MARILYN USK tied up to the Cheerleaders, Bowling League, Delta S.G.C., Clean-up Committee, Mixed Chorus, Spanish Club, and the Splash- ettes. VAUGHN SAFFORD didn't bust in the Horseback Riding Club, Honor Society, and as Service Girl Secretary, G.A.A. Treasurer, and Red Cross Secretary. VIRGINIA SAHLBERG was in the midst of our ocean of activities with the Student Council and S.G.C. ,, ,, ,,,

IEANNE PEISER kept the running lights of the Drama Club, G.A.A., Library Staff, and S.G,C. burning. MILDRED PETERS climbed aboard just in time to keep watch from the crow's nest on the G,A.A., and to be one of the active members in the S.G.C. and in Intramurals. GLORIA PETERSON let her smile beam while in the G.A,A., Horseback Riding Club, and as Treasurer oi the Alpha S.G.C. IACKOLYN PHILLIPS charted her course through the G.l-LA., S.G.C,, and in the Horseback Riding and Letter Girls' Clubs. IIM BG PHILLIPS or sometimes known as Iungle lim was in the Hi-Y, on the Football and Baseball Teams, a Viking Representative, in the Letter Men's Club, Bowling League, and Intramurals. MARILYN PIEL stepped out while in the Girls' Chorus, G.A.A., S.G.C., Hall Guards, and Clean-up Committee. ELAINE PORTER was in the Spanish Club, Riding Club, Mixed Chorus, G.A.A., S.G.C. GEORGE POULOS sped through the seas ot the Greek Club and the Mixed Chorus. IRENE PULS had a corking good time in the G.A.A., S.G.C., German Club, Riding Club, Library Staff, and in the Bowling League. MARILYN RADFORD sculled along in the S.G.C., G.A.A., Riding Club, Student Council, Hall Guards, and on the Library Staff. ELIZABETH RAPP took her station in the Omega S.G.C., G.A.A., Red Cross, Girls' Chorus, French Club, Student Council, and in the Bowling League. Sailing up the coast was ELSIE SAKAS as a member of the G.A.A., the Greek Club, and the S.G.C. DOLORES Cookie SALEMI sailed straight through the channel markers of Zeta S.G.C., the G.A.A., and the Student Council. A boilermaker, ROGER SANDERS or Bugs, joined the gang in the Band and Orchestra, Pan-American Club, Hall Guards, and the R.O.T.C. MARGARET SCANLON took on provisions from the Zeta Senior Girls' Club, G,l-LA., Office Staff, and Hall Guards. IACK SCHMID allowed the reliable North Star to guide him through the dark sea of the Wrestling Team. WILLIAM SCHMIDT rnade 3U knots through the choppy seas ot the Drum and Bugle Corps, Hall Guards, Commissioned Officers' Club, Competitive Platoon, R.O.T.C. LOUISE SCHROETER may have been a liberty hound, but she did her best in the G.A.A., S.G.C., and Intramurals. SHIRLEY SCHULZ followed the compass that pointed to the G.A.A., German Club, and the Sigma Chi Chapter of the S.G.C. LOIS SCHULZE was the bumboat for the National Honor Society, German Club, Bowling League, Prom Committee, and the Kappa S.G.C. GLADYS SCHWEER sailed through the narrow channel in the Riding Club, Splashette, Latin Club, G.A.A., and the S.G.C. WILLIAM SCHWERTFEGER cut a square job in the Spanish Club, Boys' Chorus, Intramural Sports, Track Team, and the Baseball Team. Tooting her whistle was ELEANOR SEIF in the German Club, Honor Society, Girls' Chorus, Bowling League, and the S.G.C. Bootblack or IACK SHABAZ took French leave in the German Club, Boys' Chorus, Clean-up Committee, Program Committee, and Football. EILEEN Windy SHERLOCK increased speed through the Bowling League, G.A.A., Honor Society, Splashettes, and the Beta S.G.C. BETTY SLACK made for the shores of the Spanish Club, Honor Society, G.A.A., S.G.C., Bowling League, Hall Guards, and Intramurals. CHARLES SMITH caught the life-line when he joined the Spanish Club, Bowling League, and Intramural Sports.
