SWIMMING CLASSES . . . Iackknives . . , surface dives . . . backstrokes . . . half-flips . ,. . are familiar terms to the GIRLS' SWIMMING CLASSES. Once every week, as a part oi the gym requirements, the first year girls take one period ot swimming. Each class is divided into two sections-beginners and advanced swimmers. ln these classes, the beginning girls learn the rudiments oi the art, while the advanced students spend their time improving their abilities. Under Miss McDonald's supervision, a special class is held for girls Who Wish to learn how to dive. These femmes are present in the pool during a free period in their program. DIVING: M. DeWeerdt, D.
