VATIUNAL IIUWLING CIIAMPS The pins were set up, the girls toed the line, the balls rolled, and the NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS' CHAMPIONSHIP went to Amundsen's Bowling Bagsl Captained by Audrey Olsen, the team included lean Christiansen, Patricia Weiss, Shirlee Wiclc- ersheim, and Eileen Sherlock. These girls re- ceived individual trophies for their winning score ot 2,440 This score resulted after play- otts held throughout the country. Medals were also given tor being the highest team in the Amundsen league. The Individual High School Girl's Champion- ship of the United States went to Audrey Olsen for striking the score of 530. When in Milwau- kee, the team was permitted to bowl in the Women's International Bowling Congress Tour- nament held in the latter part of May. Grace Swanson, ot the SATURDAY LEAGUE. received a beautiful trophy for a top game ot l87. Also in that league, dark-haired Elaine Stieren received a trophy for her average of 127 maintained throughout the past season.
