The next week Amory defeated Bruce 13 to 0. Bobby Hill's 3 touchdown effort won him the player of the week award. Amory knocked Starkville out of the Little Ten Champions the next week by tying them 7 to 7 with a great defensive effort. Stewart and Curry were the co-players of the week. The next game is the one we like to talk about. Amory beat Aberdeen 21 to 0. The Panthers met every threat the Bulldogs put up. Amory scored three touchdowns with Jerry Brown making every extra point good. Palmer and Massengill won player of the week awards. Massengill was an All Little Ten guard. Amory fell to Oxford by a close margin of 7 to 0. Our boys put up a number of goal line stands in touchdown territory many times. Don Barnes won the outstanding player of the week award. In the Houston game the Panthers really got on the ball. In the last seconds of the game the boys marched 80 yards with Danny Sanders going over from the 12 to break the tie. Sanders won outstanding player of the week award. After a slow start the Panthers tromped West Point 20 to 0. Jimmy Sullivan won the weekly award with a fine individual effort.
