Amory dropped its opener to Pontotoc, 19 to 7. Bo Price put out one of his best efforts to win the player of the week award. Amory bounced back to top New Albany with Phil Armor's running, winning him the outstanding player award. Amory had great offensive and defensive blocking in this game. The Panthers lost a heart-breaker the next week to Grenada. Although the team effort was out-standing, our boys dropped the game 6 to 0. The individual effort by Don Harmon, Panther end, was supreme. Four of our starters were injured and did not see action in the Grenada game.
