is BASKETBALL REVIEW '. AMO - 19 PITTSBORO - 29 On November 6, the Amo Aces opened the season with the Burros on the Pittsboro floor but were downed by 10 points. Very little scoring was done by either team during the first half. The Aces fought valiantly in the last half but were unable to overtake the Burrosr AMO - 37 STILESVILLE - 31 Friday the thirteenth proved tg be an unlucky even- ing for the Stilesvil e Tigers. The game was exceed- ingly fast with the semis q the half l -l5. Our boys worked hard, showed exgqllz t teamwork and won the reward, their first victory gg the season. AMO - 25 CLAYTON - 21 Clayton was the next pg to fall victim to the Amo Aces on November 20. The g 5 got off to an early lead gndhplayed all around the Capginals in true basketball as on. D AMO - 40 DANVILLE - 38 The Danville Warriors game to the home court on December 9, full of fight. ppring thi first half of the ball game they proved to he 3 real t reat to the Aces. The score was tied the greater part of the game. With one a n a half minutes to gp Danville held a five point margin. But to the joy of the team and fans when the horn sounded the score was 36-36, Each team made two points in the first overtime but in the second, Lester Sanders made a nice tip which changed the verdict and we won one of the best games of the season. .AMO - 32 NORTH SALEM - 28 North Salem afforded the op osition in the next game December ll. The visitors Sade a game fight but found the home team too much for them. COUNTY TOURNAMENT In the first game of the County Tourney, the Aces met the Burros on Friday morning. It was an interesting game from start to finish. When the final gun fired the Aces were victorious by a score of 21-20. 'N . Winning over the Burroa entitled the Aces to meet the Stilesville Tigers on Friday evening. The Tigers were -little and fast but met defeat at the hands of the Aces by a score of 37-32. , Following their victory over the Tigers, the Aces encountered ,Plainfield on Saturday evening. Floor work seemed ton be in vain for shot after shot of the Aces fell short or bounced back. The half ended with Amo on the 'short end of a 21-14 score. In the second half the

This proved to be a thrilling ball igang because we were out for revenge. The Lizton Blue Blazers came to the home f floor January 29, with the'intention of getting the keg.' Play was fast and rough through out the tilt and although they were defeated, the U Stiles- villegquinjette was a real obstacle in the Kees path. Amo - 51 r A SACRED HEART'-'528' ' The following night after our hard scrimmage at Stilesville, Amo entertained, Sacred Heart of Indianaw polis.
