Heather Conway was the high scorer and rebounder and was selected to the All-Housatonic League Team. The girls qualified for the CIAC tournament and were ranked twelfth. f fl fi. HE -4 ll pl im' W.. IZ Although this was to be a rebuilding year, the Hockey Team surprisingly stepped forward as a leading contender for the Housy title. The Spartans started out fast, winning the first 8 games. Top offensive threats were Tim Doheny and Dave Kozak with I7 and 25 goals respectively. The defense was led by Howie Gartland, Lance Porto and Cap- tain Matt Luce. The team lost several close games in over- time and ended the regular season I3-6, qualifying for the CIAC Tournament. They finished tenth in the tourney. Congratulations to the team, Coach Ken Oliver and special thanks to retiring Head Coach Hal Smullen. ,I fo' L. i'iii T F .
