For the fourth consecutive year, the girls' swim team has captured the Housatonic League title. Led by captains Stephanie McCarthy, Lynn Forsberg and Tracey Stevens, the Spartans remained undefeated in 32 league meets, upholding the excellence for which they are known. Tracey Stevens, Kris Nilson, I-lonorine Wallack, Sue Burt, Mary .lane Higgins, Pam Greenberg, Karen Lena and Paige Saverese were all named to the All- Housatonic League first team. Selected for the second team were Stephanie McCarthy, Julia Marieb, Shelley Char- bonneau and Glynnis Wolfe. The only co-ed fall sport, led by co- captains Mark Lurie and Dave Vaughn, finished with a strong 14- 3 record. The team also finished strongly in the final meets, plac- ing 3rd in the New Haven County Meet, 2nd in the Class LL Sec- tionals, 4th in the Class LL States and 10th in the State Open Meet.
