The team qualified for the CIAC Tournament for the first time in three years with a record of 7-6-2. Center Don Rom- berg was the leading scorer on this vastly improved team, with fifteen goals and six assists. Romberg was also selected for the All-Housatonic League first team. Peter Simon was the team's second leading scorer with ten goals and six assists, and received All-Housatonic League Honorable Mention. Also receiving Honorable mention were Glenn Duhl, Ross Cotjanle, Ed Viani, Tim Boulanger and .lim Clements. This year's field hockey team ended its season with an impressive 10-3-3 record, tying them for second in the Housatonic League. The Spartans made it to the quarter- finals in the CIAC Tournament.
