In the first round of the New Haven Debating League, Amity placed first. They also participated in the Cheshire Academy Debating Tournament, the Model United Nations in Providence, and the Model Congress and State meet at UConn. The members of this club have gained valuable ex- perience in public speaking and, through their research and prepara- tion, a better understanding of world affairs. These boys, constantly on the go, can be seen setting up movie projectors, op- erating lights, and repairing tape recorders and pho- nographs. They contributed greatly to the success of RQ many assemblies, plus the Variety Show and the Senior Class Play. RADIO BROADCASTING M Can you imagine Fred Koval as Rasputin? Now in its second year, the Radio Broadcasting Club is under the super- vision of Miss Kaplan. The club is com- prised of two groups: the technical sec- tion which is studying the science of broadcasting, and the programming section which is learning the art of an- nouncing.
