In the first round of the New Haven Debating League, Amity placed first. They also participated in the Cheshire Academy Debating Tournament, the Model United Nations in Providence, and the Model Congress and State meet at UConn. The members of this club have gained valuable ex- perience in public speaking and, through their research and prepara- tion, a better understanding of world affairs.
